The Engineering Education Innovation Center operates the "Next Generation Semiconductor Consortium (hereafter referred to as the Consortium)" as the lead university in the field of "Next Generation Semiconductors" in the government-supported contest project "2022 Innovative Convergence-Type Engineering Talent Cultivation Support Project" under the Korean Industrial Technology Association (KIAT) of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Resources.

Together with the engineering education innovation centers of Gongju University and Myongji University, the Engineering Education Innovation Center constitutes the Consortium and is receiving a total of 3.9 billion won in government support over six years, conducting various academic and non-academic programs for undergraduates.

The Consortium constitutes a consultation committee of industry, universities, and research institutes through the coordination of "industry-academia-research" to listen to various opinions and advice on the project. Through an industry demand survey, the Consortium continuously identifies the actual demand and required talent in the semiconductor-related industrial field. The Consortium maximizes the reflection of this in the direction and program configuration of next year's project.

In addition, the Consortium provides a fundamental axis to cultivate next-generation semiconductor-related innovative convergent engineering talents, which are a key challenge to enhancing national competitiveness in the field.
